
Philodendron 'Silver Sword'
Philodendron hastatum, also known as Silver Sword Philodendron, is a climbing plant native to Brazil, and thrives in warm, humid, and shaded tropical rain forests. When grown outdoors in ideal conditions, it can reach 20-30 ft tall. Grown indoors, it can reach up to 10-15 ft tall. Characterized by it's silvery-blue foliage that when young, resembles a "sword's blade"—once it matures, the leaves elongate and become tri-lobed. The undersides of the leaves are copper colored. This plant does flower, but if grown indoors it will rarely flower.

The room temperature should average between 65 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Avoid cold drafts or sudden drops in the temperature.
This plant likes moist soil with good drainage. Like most Philodendrons, water when the top two inches of soil is dry. In dry climates, consider using a humidifier or place the plant on a tray of pebbles with water.
This plant likes to clim, we suggest a Grow Pole.
