Cactus 'Fern Leaf'
Selenicereus chrysocardium, also known as Fern Leaf Cactus, is a striking jungle cactus from Mexico, prized for its long, trailing, deeply lobed, fern-like stems. It is an epiphyte, meaning in the wild it grows on trees, making it ideal for hanging baskets as it cascades down, with stems reaching several feet long in ideal conditions. This plant is relatively fast-growing with appropriate care, often showing a reddish, "blushing" color on new growth. Though the blooms are rare, especially grown indoors, it produces large, fragrant, white, nocturnal flowers with gold stamens in late spring or summer.

Allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings (about every 1-2 weeks), but do not let it completely desiccate for long periods. Overwatering can lead to stem rot.
