Hoya 'Wax Plant': Hindu Rope

Hoya carnosa compacta, also known as Hoya Hindu Rope, is a unique trailing succulent known for its thick, twisted, waxy leaves resembling a rope, and it produces fragrant, star-shaped flowers. Their leaves and stems are thick, fleshy, and capable of storing water, which is characteristic shared with succulents. It originated from East Asia and Australia.

This plant requires bright, indirect light for at least six hours daily to promote growth and flowering—direct sun can scorch their leaves.

Water thoroughly, allowing water to drain from the pot, and then wait until the top inch or two of soil is dry before watering again. Water only when the soil is completely dry, as overwatering is a common mistake that can lead to root rot.

This plant requires good draining soil, we suggest Espoma Cactus Mix.
