  • Fatsia japonica, also known as Japanese Aralia, is a shade-loving shrub that thrives in moist conditions. The huge leaves are deeply lobed and grow to almost a foot wide, and the plant itself can grow upwards of 8 feet tall. It produces flower clusters in the fall, once the plant is mature. Fatsia can be grown in beds or in containers both inside and out.
