Schefflera 'Dwarf Umbrella Tree': Trinette
Schefflera arboricola 'Trinette', also known as a Dwarf Umbrella Tree 'Trinette', is a variegated cultivar of the Dwarf Umbrella Tree, originating from Taiwan and Hainan, China. It is a tropical, evergreen shrub known for its creamy-yellow and green variegated leaves, often used as a houseplant or in warm-climate landscapes. Charmingly pretty as an accent, foundation planting, or in a garden bed, the 'Trinette' can add tropical flair to an otherwise ho-hum landscape. Evergreen and cold tolerant, it does fine in Zone 9B and southward. It can reach between 2-1/2 to 3 ft tall. Plant these shrubs about 2 to 2-1/2 feet apart—they can also be planted close to the house—come out 2-1/2 to 3 ft.
