Asparagus retrofractus, also known as the Ming Fern, is a sensation for tactile lovers. This plant is native to South Africa and can grow up to 6 ft tall by 5 ft wide in ideal growing conditions. It blooms white, fragrant flowers between May and July when growing outdoors.
If growing in a container, you may need to repot every 2-3 years. Ming fern prefers well-drained soil so avoid overwatering.

Ming ferns need soil that is kept moist but not soggy, with the top inch or two allowed to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly until water drains from the bottom, while ensuring the plant does not sit in standing water.
Ming fern can have issues with scale and mealybugs especially if overwatered. We suggest Leaf Protectant Spray with Neem Oil.
We suggest Rosy Soil Organic Houseplant Potting Soil.
