Water your Foxtail Fern regularly and allow the top 2 to 3 inches of soil to dry out between waterings—typically once a week. Foxtail Ferns have water storing tuberous roots, which makes them somewhat drought-tolerant and prone to root rot from overwatering.
Ensure the plant has good drainage to prevent soggy soil and water deeply when you do water, allowing excess water to drain away completely if potted.
This plant likes slightly acidic soil. We suggest Espoma Soil Acidifier.
Proper nutrition is important to the health of your plant and its longevity. To ensure your plant is getting the appropriate nutrition, use a fertilizer labelled for the needs of this plant and apply according to the label.
