Livistona ‘Chinese Fan’ Palm
The Livistona chinensis, also known as Chinese Fan Palm, has long cascading leaves that droop in a fountain-like effect. It has great clumping possibilities for hedges and landscaping, and it can be grown as an indoor plant as well.

Also known as: Fountain PalmThis palm likes full sun, however in our Charleston climate fronds may burn in full sun without reprieve. The plant will adjust over time, or may prefer morning sun and afternoon shade (Part sun/ part shade).
If growing indoors, it is best to place this palm by a bright window to receive bright direct sunlight.
Fun fact: If you place your Chinese Fan Palm in less light, it will grow tall and have longer stems to reach for the light, versus in full sun which may cause the plant to stay lower to the ground but have larger fronds.
Water deeply and infrequently. Once the top one to two inches of soil feel dry, provide thorough watering. If planted in a pot—water until the excess drains from the pot and never let the plant sit in soggy soil to prevent root rot.
