Salvia 'Bodacious Smokey Jazz'
Salvia, also known by its common genus name “Sage”, is a small upright shrub or herbaceous perennial that reaches 1-3ft tall and wide. The Salvia genus is especially diverse in Turkey and the Mediterranean and in Mexico and adjacent regions. They are drought and salt tolerant. The flowers provide excellent color in the border, so sages are welcome additions to the native, butterfly, pollinator, or drought-tolerant gardens.

Available in 1GalSalvias thrive in full sun (6+ hours) for optimal flowering and strong upright growth. During our hot Charleston summers, some afternoon shade will help prevent leaf scorch.
While salvia's are establishing, they need about 1 inch of water per week during their first growing season. Once established they become highly drought-tolerant and require deep, but infrequent waterings.
