Rosa 'Peggy Martin': Climbing Rose

This climbing rose is resilient, earning it's name from Louisiana gardener Peggy Martin whose garden was under water after hurricane Katrina in 2005. Her unnamed pink climbing rose that she grew from a cutting survived the storm and has been a favorite amongst southern gardeners ever since. Salt and moisture tolerant.

This plant requires full sun (6+ hours) for the best bloom production. It tolerates part shade, but blooming may decrease and it may become leggy.

This plant is drought tolerant once established, but may need supplemental water during dry periods. Water deeply and infrequently, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Avoid overhead watering, as this can increase the risk of fungal diseases.

Prune your Peggy Martin Rose in the winter to remove any dead or to shape it. We recomend Bond Bypass Pruners.
