Chamaerops ‘European Fan’ Palm

Chamaerops humilis, also known as the European Fan Palm, is a cold hardy and multi-trunk palm that grows in clumps. This is a slow growing palm, reaching heights of about 8-15 ft tall and 6-10 ft wide. Fun fact, this is the only palm native to Europe!

This palm can grow in part sun/ part shade, though it will grow taller and faster in the sun.

Young and newly planted European Fan Palms need consistent moisture. Once matured, allow the soil to dry out significantly between waterings. Deep and infrequent waterings is best.

This palm is highly drought tolerant once established.
