Eucalyptus 'Silverdrop'

Eucalyptus gunnii, also known as a Eucalyptus Silverdrop, is a compact, bushy shrub featuring small, rounded leaves that are silver in color. Leaves have a refreshing minty, herbal smell! In mild, frost-free regions, the plant grows into a large tree over time. It can easily reach heights of 30 ft and stretch 10 to 15 ft wide in optimal growing conditions.

This plant requires full sun (6+ hours) of sunlight a day to thrive. It does not tolerate low-light conditions and can become leggy and grow poorly without sufficient light. If grown inside, it will need to be placed by a very bright window to soak up all the sun!

This plant requires well-draining soil and moderate water. 

Young plants need frequent, deep watering for the first year to establish roots. Once established, the tree becomes drought-tolerant, with watering needs reducing significantly to once every few weeks for in-ground trees or when the top inch of soil is dry for container plants.

Overwatering is a significant risk, so consistent monitoring of soil moisture is crucial to prevent root rot
