The Chrysalidocarpus lutescens, also known as Areca Palm, is a multi-stemmed and clustering palm that can grow as tall as 30 ft tall and 15 ft wide in its native habitat! This palm is often grown as a house plant in temperate climates. It is characterized by its bright yellow stems and fronds.

Grown indoors, this plant require bright, indirect light for optimal growth, but can adapt to medium to low light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight as it can scorch the leaves.
Water your Areca Palm when the top inch of soil is dry, keeping the soil consistently moist but not soggy, and reducing watering frequency in the Fall and Winter.
Use room-temperature, filtered, or distilled water to avoid chlorine and chemicals that can cause leaf browning.
Water thoroughly until excess water drains from the pot, and allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings to prevent root rot.
