Washingtonia ‘Mexican Fan’ Palm

  • Washingtonia robusta, also known as Mexican Fan Palm, is hardy up to zones 8b-9a. Reaching heights up to 100 ft tall, this palm is characterized by its thick trunk and stiff leaves that stay attached even as they brown, forming a skirt under the canopy. Fibrous frills will curl off of the leaves. Watch out for the large saw-like teeth on the stems.
