Sphaeropteris 'Australian Tree' Fern

PriceFrom $20.00
  • Sphaeropteris cooperi, also known as the Australian Tree Fern, is an interesting plant—known as the lacy tree fern in its own native country, has delicate and feather-like fronds, that slowly unfurl into fuzzy stems. The Australian Tree Fern is a tropical giant (when grown in its native habitat) with a trunk reaching heights of 15 or even 30 ft. The long, large leaves form a handsome canopy and give a tropical feel to the landscape. However in Charleston, it makes for a great small houseplant.

Due to the frost that we experience in Charleston, this should be grown in a pot which can then be transferred indoors during the winter months.
