Microsorum 'Crocodile' Fern

This plant requires bright, indirect light, as direct sunlight will scorch their delicate fronds. Placing by a bright window with sheer curtains will filter the sunlight, mimicking the dappled light found on forest floors which is their natural habitat.

This plant needs water when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch, ensuring the soil remains consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water deeply until excess water drains out, as these ferns are susceptible to root rot in overly wet soil. 

 

Spring/ Summer:
During the growing season it may be best to water weekly.

 

Fall/ Winter:
During dormancy, water less frequently allowing the soil to dry out between waterings.
