Hypericum x moserianum 'Tricolor’, also known as St. John’s Wort ‘Tricolor’, is a small hybrid cultivar with rosey-white variegations, arching stems, and a rounded growth habit. It can reach 2-3ft tall and wide in optimal growing conditions. It produces a 2” golden flower from mid-summer to fall. It is evergreen in our warm Charleston climate. It can be planted as a specimen plant, or as a hedge.

Available in 1 GalThis plant requires full sun (6+ hours) to partial shade. In our hot Charleston climate, this plant would benefit from afternoon shade to prevent leaf scorch.
As a newly planted specimen, this plant will require consistently moist conditions to establish its root structure. Once established, it is moderately drought-tolerant. It cannot tolerate soggy soil or standing water.
Prune annually in late winter or early spring, after the threat of the last hard frost has passed, but before new spring growth and bud break begin. For this, we recommend Modern Sprout Pruners.
