Foeniculum 'Fennel': Bronze

Bronze Fennel needs full sun (6+ hours) to thrive, for best growth, color, and flavor. While it prefers full sun, it can tolerate partial shade, particularly in our hot Charleston climate.

Bronze Fennel requires consistent moisture, ideally 1 inch of water per week, to maintain healthy, tender foliage. While drought-tolerant once established, it thrives in well-drained soil, needing deeper, more frequent watering (1-2 times weekly) during our hot Charleston summer.

Fennel plants are know to have escaped gardens and naturalized. To prevent an unwanted spread of this plant through self-seeding, you should remove spent flowers and stems before seed is produced. We suggest using Bond Bypass Pruners.
