Celosia 'Twisted Orange Dark Leaf'

Celosia, also known as Cockscomb or Woolflower, is an ornamental herbaceous annual native to Africa, North and South America. There are three main types of celosia: plumed, wheat and cockscomb. This particular variety is a cockscomb due to its dense twisted shape, resembling a chickens comb. Garden varieties are showy long-blooming annuals that add a splash of color or as an accent in the garden and also do well in seasonal containers.

This plant needs full sun (6+ hours) daily for strong flowers and compact leaves. They can survive in partial shade, but lack of sunlight causes weak, tall stems and fewer flowers. 

This plant needs a deep watering every 3 to 5 days in hot weather, or every 5 to 7 days in milder conditions. Once fall and winter arrive, water much less often. Allow the soil to dry out more between sessions as growth slows down.
