Serenoa ‘Cinerea’ Palm: Silver Saw

The Serenoa repens ‘cinerea’, also known as Silver Saw Palmetto, is a hardy palm found throughout South Carolina and is tolerant of many factors like drought and salt. The Silver Saw is a slow grower, reaching 5-7 ft tall and 3-4 ft wide. It is characterized by its fan shaped silvery-blue fronds from stout stems that crawl across the ground and clump into hedges.

This palm prefers full sun, but will grow in almost any lighting conditions. 

This palm will benefit from regular waterings at first, but will become very drought tolerant once established.
