Rhapis ‘Lady’ Palm

Rhapis excelsa, also known as the Lady Palm, has deep green fronds that have 4-10 blunt-ended leaf segments sprouting from slender stems. It is a clustering palm and can be divided by underground rhizomes.

As an indoor plant, Lady Palms need bright, indirect light. Grown outdoors it likes partial shade or dappled light and can even withstand deep shade.

Water a Lady Palm deeply and thoroughly, if potted make sure it drains completely. 

 

Spring/ Summer/ Fall:
Water when the top 2 inches of soil feel dry. Water more frequently in the spring and summer when growth is active.

 

Winter:
Reduce the depth you check for dryness to 1 inch before watering again.
