Rhaphidophora korthalsii, also known as the Shingle Plant, is a tropical climbing vine renowned for its unique growth habit where its leaves lie flat and overlap against a vertical surface, resembling roof shingles. Native to the rainforests of Southeast Asia and Australia, it's a popular and visually striking houseplant. The juvenile form features small, heart-shaped or oval, blue-green leaves that cling tightly to a support. As the plant matures, the leaves dramatically transform into a larger, split form (fenestrations) with longer stalks.
