Lamium 'Dead Nettle': Pink

This plant thrives best in partial to full shade, requiring approximately 2 to 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. It prefers bright, dappled sunlight or shade, especially to protect its foliage from our intense Charleston sun, which can burn the leaves.

Dead Nettles require consistently moist, well-drained soil, especially when young, typically needing about 1 inch of water per week. Once established, they are drought-tolerant but prefer regular moisture to avoid summer stress. Water deeply when the top 1–3 inches of soil are dry.

Hot summers and humid climates can cause bare patches in mass plantings of Dead Nettle, but the plants can be cut back to stimulate new foliage growth. We recommend Bond Bypass Pruners.
