Do plants like music? Science points to yes! But does music help plants grow? We're not as certain.
Studies have found that plants respond positively to the vibrations made by music's sound waves. The sound waves produced by genres like jazz, reggae, and classical stimulate plant cells and maybe even encourage nutrients to move around, promoting new growth. While there's still much work to be done on the topic, it's very clear to scientists that plants are aware of the sounds in their environment.
Whether or not playing music will actually help your plants grow needs to be further researched, but it can't hurt right?
