Are you a pet and plant lover? There are many factors to consider when investing in a new houseplant and customers often have care questions regarding lighting and watering needs. But, houseplant popularity is growing and we've started hearing, "Is this plant safe for my pet?" more often. Let's talk about what pet friendly means and take a look at some of our pet safe houseplant options!
We like to explain to customers that while many plants are toxic to pets, the level of toxicity varies! While some plants are very dangerous to pets, others may only cause mild stomach issues. Additionally, the amount of plant material ingested matters. If your animal doesn't bother plants or you keep the plant on a high shelf, it's presence will not hurt your fur baby. Plus, one quick nibble on a leaf may or may not have an impact on your pets health. All animals are effected differently and most plant parents like to play it safe (rightfully so!) so we've rounded up a list of pet safe plants to help you while shopping in the Meeting Green greenhouse!
