How are you beating the heat this week? The heat wave rolling through the southeast is keeping us indoors, focusing on our indoor jungle! If you're ready to get your hands dirty (in the AC!) it's time to tend to your houseplants. Wether your home looks like a tropical rainforest or you have one plant your mom gave you, we can help you at Meeting Green with pots, soil, tools, and plenty of plants to add to your collection. Last week we restocked the greenhouse and pot shop with all of your favorites, plus we added some funky new additions.
This week, let's take a peek inside the pot shop! This space holds all of our low light houseplants and a rotating selection of decor, pots, and tools. But what exactly is low light? Low light typically refers to an area where plants are not receiving any direct sun and are a few feet away from indirect sun. So, if you have a spot far from a window that's begging for a plant, consider adding snake plants and ZZ plants! 🪟 🌥️ While these plants will remain happy and healthy, they will not grow quickly in these lighting conditions. The pot shop is stocked with various snake plants and ZZ plants, perfect for those darker spaces. These plants also tolerate little water and even benefit from drying out completely between watering!

Some plants, like peace lilies and philodendrons (especially the philodendron brasil!) can handle a wide range of lighting conditions and will tolerate lower light. But remember, low light doesn't mean no light! All plants (even the snake plants and ZZ plant!) need sunlight to thrive and survive! 💀
