Spider Plant 'Reverse Variegated'

Spider plant prefers medium light levels yet can tolerate deep shade. It is intolerant of direct sunlight. Ideally it should receive 4–8 hours of filtered sunlight daily. While they can tolerate lower light, too little light slows growth, while direct sun can burn their leaves.

Stolons and plantlets are light dependent and develop when the mother plant receives short days and long, uninterrupted nights–less than 12 hours of light a day–for at least three weeks.  

Spider plants require moderate watering, typically every 7-10 days, or whenever the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry. It grows best in moist soil and medium air humidity, though it is tolerant of drought and dry soil. Reduce watering during winter. Mist leaves occasionally in summer.

They are sensitive to fluoride and chlorine, which can cause brown tips—distilled or rainwater is preferred. 

Do not over-fertilize this plant as it decreases plantlet formation. For fertilization of this plant, we suggest Leafy Plant Food or Grow Organic Plant Food Concentrate.
