Norfolk Island Pine

This plant prefers lots of bright light to thrive. Don’t forget to turn the plant every week or so to keep it growing straight and upright.

This plant prefers watering when the top 2 inches of soil is dry, as well as high humidity.

 

To ensure high humidity, mist your plant regularly alongside watering when the soil drys.

 

Have a humidifier in your home? Overwatering is not the answer here! It does not appreciate wet feet. If you can't mist this plant in your home, fill a tray with gravel and water (so as not to submerge the entire base of the pot) and that will provide the plant with enough humidity. 

The Norfolk Island Pine, like the majority of plants, will go dormant during the winter, therefore it hardly needs any fertilizers. 

 

Once this plant has re-entered its growing season (Spring-Summer), it does like slightly acidic soil, we suggest Espoma Soil Acidifier. 

 

Proper nutrition is important to the health of your plant and its longevity. To ensure your plant is getting the appropriate nutrition, use a fertilizer labelled for the needs of this plant and apply according to the label.
