Matricaria 'Chamomile'

Chamomile requires full sun to light shade, ideally receiving at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily for optimal growth and flowering. While it thrives in bright, sunny spots, it can tolerate partial shade, particularly in our hot Charleston climate where some afternoon shade helps prevent wilting.

German chamomile requires consistent moisture when young (about 1 inch per week) but becomes drought-tolerant once established. It thrives in well-drained soil and prefers to dry out slightly between waterings to avoid root rot. While adaptable, it needs extra water during flowering and hot, dry periods.
